f(y) = 4 y4 + 2 y3 -3 y2 +8 y +5 a
if (y+2) is a factor of f(y) , then f(-2) = 0
f(-2) = 4 (-2)4 + 2 (-2)3 -3(-2)2 +8(-2) + 5 a = 5 a + 20 = 0
hence a = - 4
