Differences between heart of warm-blooded and cold-blooded animals:
Heart of warm-blooded animals |
Heart of cold-blooded animals |
Four-chambered heart |
Two-three-chambered heart |
The arteries that carry warm blood away from the heart are positioned directly against the veins that carry cool blood to the heart. |
They do not need insulation, it would only slow down heat transfer into their bodies. |
