what is the difference between between lactose and maltose

Lactose: Lactose is a disaccharide. It consists of galactose and glucose fragments bonded through a ?-1?4 glycosidic linkage.
Maltose: Maltose is also a disaccharide containing two glucose fragments. It consists of ?-d glucose bonded with ?-d-glucose by (?1 ? ? 4) linkage.
