Standardisation of product is to check and approve the quality and standard of goods that are produced in a country. It is mandatory for those products to be certified by the organisations, which can affect the health and safety of the consumers. Two organisations that are responsible for standardising products in India are as listed below:
- Agmark certifies the quality of agricultural produce in India.
- I.S.I. certifies the electrical equipments and tools.
