What is Flemings let hand thumb rule ?

Fleming's Left hand rule gives the direction of the force on a current carrying conductor in a magnetic field.

The rules of the rule are:

  • The First finger represents the direction of the Field.
  • The Second finger represents the direction of the Current (conventional current, positive to negative).
  • The Thumb represents the direction of the Force or resultant Motion.
