Expert Answer
EMI (electromagnetic interference) is the disruption of operation of an electronic device when it is in the vicinity of an electromagnetic field (EM field) in the radio frequency (RF) spectrum that is caused by another electronic device.
Basically, an electromagnetic field contains radiations with wide range of frequency. If an instrument/device generates an electromagnetic field that contains radiation with radio frequency, then these radio waves will interfere with the workings of other electronic devices present nearby. this effect is known as EMI i.e. electromagnetic interference.
