Disadvantages of exploiting resources with a short term aim:
- The exploitation of natural resources with a short term aim is advantageous for the present generation to meet their daily requirements.
- By this, we may be able to enjoy the comforts of life but we would damage our environment gradually.
- Improvement of the lifestyles of people increases the pollution levels, global warming, depletion of resources etc.
- So it is better to use resources with a long-term perspective. This will prevent the depletion of resources, not harm our environment and also ensure the availability of resources for our future generation.
