use the formula [a+b]2 = [a]2]+ [b]2 + 2ab cos θ

put the value of [a]2 =1 , similarly b  and a+b which is also unity now from this find the value 2ab cos θ

now use the formula of [a-b]2 and put the value of 2ab cos θ, and find the answer,.
