Use division algorithm to find the hcf of 867and 255

Division algorithm of finding HCF of two numbers is first dividing one number with another .

If we get remainder, then divide the previous divisor by remainder and repeat till we get zero as remainder . 

Then the last divisor is HCF .

First , let us divide 867 by 255 to get remainder 102.

Then 255 is divided by 102 to get remainder 51

Then 102 is divided by 51 to get remainder zero.

Hence 51 is HCF.
