there are 2 straight conductous X and Y. in both the current is in the opposite direction. if the conductors are bought together then what happens?

if we use the right hand thumb rule to find the direction of magnetic field produced by those current carrying conductors and then apply the left hand rule to find the direction of force on the other conductor, we can tell that the two conductors will repel each other.
