the cap of a joker is conical in which 30.8 sq.cm of cloth is used . Also the circumference of its base is 17.6 cm .(i) find the height if the cap. (ii)find the slant height of the cap (iii)find the radius of the base of the cap (iv) what is the volume of the cone ?(leave the answer in pie)

Let r be radius, h is height and l is slant height of cone.

Circumference of cone = 2 π r = 17.6 cm

Hence radius = (17.6/2π ) cm =  2.80 cm

If area A of cloth used is 30.8 sq.cm , then

A =π r l = 30.8 sq.cm

l = 30.8 /( π × 2.80 ) = 3.50 cm

Height h of the cone is calculated as

Volume V = (1/3) π r2 h = (1/3) π (2.8)2 × 2.1 cm3 = ( 5.49 π ) cm3
