Let the age of A be 4x and age of B is 3x.
According to the condition, we get
begin mathsize 16px style fraction numerator 4 straight x plus 6 over denominator 3 straight x plus 6 end fraction equals 11 over 9
rightwards double arrow 9 open parentheses 4 straight x plus 6 close parentheses equals 11 open parentheses 3 straight x plus 6 close parentheses
rightwards double arrow 36 straight x space plus space 54 space equals space 33 straight x space plus space 66
rightwards double arrow 3 straight x space equals space 12
rightwards double arrow space space straight x space equals space 4
end style
Therefore, the age of A be 4x is 4(4) = 16 years and age of B is 3x=3(4) = 12 years.
