CBSE Class 9 Answered
Soundwaves of wavelength X travel from a medium in which velocity is Vm/s into another medium in which if velocity is 3m/s, what is the wavelength of sound in the second medium?

You must know when sound wave travel from one medium to another medium it's wave length and speed gets change either it will increase or decrease depending upon the density of the medium.
But one quantity that is frequency remain same
So for this case f1= f2
And as we know frequency f = v/λ where v us velocity and λ is wavelength
So v/x = 3/λ
λ = 3x/v
