in Kirchoff's mesh rule, following convnsions are followed:
1. if while moving in a loop in a circuit, we go from a negative to positive terminal of the batery, we take the emf of the battery as positive else we take it as negative.
2. if we move in the direction of current (I) passing through a resistance (R), then the potential drop in the circuit is negative (-IR)
it can be seen in the following eg:
the work done in the loop will be:
+15 +15 -I.R1 - I.R2 = 0
