(b) 2.25, 2.50, 2.75, 2.20

First we have to check the whole number part.

If that is equal, then check the numbers one by one to the right of decimal point.

The greater the number, the greater will be the value of the decimal number.

(a) 8.9, 8.1, 5.3, 5.6, 9.2

5.3 < 5.6 < 8.1 < 8.9 < 9.2

(b) 2.25, 2.50, 2.75, 2.20

2.20 < 2.25 < 2.50 < 2.75
