Resistance of a metal wire of length 1m is 26 ohm at 20 degree C. If the diameter of the wire is 0.3mm, what will be the resisivity of the metal at that temperature?

Resistance R of a conductor is given as
 
R = ρ × ( L/A)    or   ρ = R × (A/L)   ..................(1)
 
where ρ is resistivity of material , L is length and A is area of cross section
 
ρ = 26 × (π/4) × (0.3)2 × 10-6 = 1.838 × 10-6 ohm-m
