The given expression is
4x + i(3x - 2y) = 8 + i6
Now, we know that equality of complex numbers imply the equality of individual real and imaginary parts,
therefore,
Real part equality => 4x = 8 => x = 2.
Imaginary part equality => 3x - 2y = 6
putting x = 2 from above,
6 - 2y = 6
=> y = 0.
Hence, x = 2 and y = 0.
