for a ray passing throught the optical centre of the lens, the incident and emergent ray are parallel but there is a lateral displacement b\w them, this displacement decreases as the thickness of the lens decreases and is negligible in a thin lens. Hence a ray passing through  the optical centre of a thin glass goes straight without any deviation or displacement,.
