the Passage and answer the questions given below
1.
As a young girl Mary Read's mother made her dress up as a boy, in order to
claim an inheritance for which only a boy was eligible.
2.
Although it wasn't a very clever plan, Mary's grandmother was led to believe
that she had a grandson. She sent the family money until her death. After her
death Mary continued to wear the clothes of a boy and would clean the shoes
of the people that passed by to earn some money.
3.
When she grew up, she joined the military as a seaman on an English warship
and later became a foot soldier in Flanders. She later joined a horse
regiment and it was here that Mary fell in love with one of her
fellow-soldiers. She had to admit that she was a girl. The others thought it
was a humorous situation. On their wedding day, Mary and her husband were
given wonderful gifts and they settled down to run an inn called the Three
Horseshoes.
4.
Her husband died at a young age and Mary put on her men's clothes and
returned to sea. The ship sailed for the West Indies, where it was attacked
by a pirate ship captained by Jack Rackham. Mary joined the crew and became rich
quickly.
5.
One day the governor of one of the islands heard that Rackham and his crew
were close by. He sent an armed sloop to capture them, but as soon as they
saw the enemy, the pirates started shooting. When they saw that they were
going to lose the battle, they ran and hid below deck. Mary and another
