Que:-The incident Ray,the normal at the point of incidence and the reflected Ray all lie in the same plane.
What is the meaning of SAME PLANE in this law of reflection?

Plane surface is like surface on table top. A point in space is defined by three coordinates (x,y,z) in
cartesian coordinate system with respect to some reference point that is referred as Origin.
If a coordinate is constant on a surface referred in cartesian coordinate system , then this surface is plane.

For example , we have x = 0 on the surface shown in fig.(1) . This is called YZ plane .or x=0 plane
Since this YZ plane is passing through origin we get x = 0. If a palne parallel to this plane passing through
some other x-coordintae a then this plane is called as x= a plane.
Similarly XY plane or z=0 plane is shown in fig.(2) . Figure 3 shows the XZ plane or y=0 plane .
