PQ ( vertically placed ) is the current carrying conductor producing magnetic field around it. A ( ont the right side of the wire ) and B ( on the left side of the wire ) are two points at a distance r1 and r2 from it. If r1 > r2 where is the magnetic strength greater and why ?

Magnetic field is inversely proportional to the distance between the concerned point and the wire.
thus point B will have higher magnetic field.
