In a resistive circuit, if the current is increased to two times the percentage change in the amount of heat dissipated in the circuit would be
a) 400% b) 300% c) 200% d) 100%

Heat dissipated in circuit is directly proportional to square of current and resistance.
According to Joule's law of heating,
H =I2Rt ...(1)
If current is increased to two times,
Heat dissipated H' = (2I)2 Rt = 4I2Rt ...(2)
Thus,
percentage change in amount of heat dissipated will be,

Correct option -> b) 300%
