Heat dissipated in circuit is directly proportional to square of current and resistance.
According to Joule's law of heating,
H =I2Rt ...(1)
If current is increased to two times,
Heat dissipated H' = (2I)2 Rt = 4I2Rt ...(2)

Thus,
percentage change in amount of heat dissipated will be,

 percent sign space c h a n g e space i n space h e a t space d i s s i p a t e d space equals space open parentheses fraction numerator H apostrophe minus H over denominator H end fraction close parentheses cross times 100
equals open parentheses fraction numerator 4 I squared R t space minus space I squared R t over denominator I squared R t end fraction close parentheses cross times 100
equals fraction numerator 3 left parenthesis I squared R t right parenthesis over denominator left parenthesis I squared R t right parenthesis end fraction cross times 100
equals 3 cross times 100 space equals 300

Correct option -> b) 300%
