please explain the concept of logarithms?

logarithm is an easy way of computing exponents and the nth root of a given number
so, if x^m = n and if you need to find the value of x, then logarithm provides an easy way out.
then mlogx = logn
logx = (logn)/m
x = 10^((logn)/m )
