Distance S travelled in time T starting from rest is given by, S = (1/2)aT2 .....................(1)
where a is acceleration.
Distance travvelled by A , SA = (1/2)(2t) T2 = t T2 .........................(2)
Distance travvelled by B , SB = (1/2)(t) T2 = (t/2) T2 .........................(3)
but SA = SB + 36 or t T2 = (t/2) T2 +36 or T = ( 6√2 / √t ) s
