Hello Anshumaan,
I feel that you must first of all read the NCERT textbook very carefully. Write down the main derivations in a notebook. Similarly write down the laws and definitions and learn them well.
You have mentioned that you understand the subject and have taken many tests but still have not been able to score well which means you are not preparing in the right way.
In a test about 85% questions will be based on theory and 15% will be numericals.So please write down the derivations, laws and definitions and learn them.
