My mother says in her xhildhood petrol was Rs. 2 pwr litre.  It is Rs. 77 per litre today.  What is the percentage of increase

Petrol was at Rs. 2 per lirtre.
Now petrol is at Rs. 77 per litre.
Increase in price = 77 - 2 = Rs. 75
Increase % = 75/2 × 100 = 37.5
