Green Revolution: Increase in the production of food grains by using high yielding variety (HYV) seeds

Reasons for implementation: Lack of irrigation facilities, old technologies and machinery, famine, more production of cash crops and poor financial facilities

Benefits to farmers: Use of inputs, scientific rotation of crops, credit facility and minimum support price
