Light is faster than sound, but when we switch on the TV, we first hear the sound before the image comes up. Why is that?

Picture will be seen after scanning each pixel in horizontal and vertical direction. More the picture resolution, more pixels are to be scanned.
 
Hence electronic circuits take some time to show the picture, where as neglible time is taken by electronic circuots to deliver sound signal.
