The image formed will still be of full size.
 
When upper half of the lens is covered , the ray of light from the object gets refracted by the lower half and these rays will meet at the other side of the lens to form the image of the object.
 
When lower half  of the lens is covered , the ray of light from the object gets refracted by the upper half and these rays will meet at the other side of the lens to form the image of the object.
 
But the intensity of the image will be lesser when one half of the lens is covered with a black paper .It is because the light gathering power of a lens depends upon its diameter.
