2 atoms of an element correponds to atomic mass 4 × 10−23 grams.
1 atom of an element corresponds to atomic mass 2 × 10−23 grams.
 
Atomic mass of element = 1 mole of element = 2 × 10−23 grams × 6 × 1023 = 12 grams
