NEET Class neet Answered
if male gametes are not motile in Angiosperms, why are they called Oogamous?

Oogamy is a form of anisogamy where the gametes differ in both size and form. In oogamy the male gametes i.e. sperms are highly motile and they compete for the fertilization of the female gamete i.e. non-motile egg cell. In some algae, most gymnosperms and all angiosperms, a variation of oogamy happens where the sperm cells are non-motile also.
