The reaction between ammonia (NH3) and hydrochloric acid (HCL) results in the formation of ammonium chloride (NH4Cl). This is a neutralization reaction, which occurs when an acid and a base react to form a salt and water. The acid donates a hydrogen ion (H+) to the base, which accepts it to form a water molecule (H2O) and a salt.
The balanced chemical equation for the reaction between NH3 and HCl is as follows:NH3 + HCl -> NH4Cl + H2O.
The balanced chemical equation for the reaction between NH3 and HCl is as follows:NH3 + HCl -> NH4Cl + H2O.
