how we can make out how many pie bonds and sigma bond will a compound like c2h6 have??

Cabon has valency 4, so it can bond with four atoms with sigma bond. As the formula suggests, C2H6 has two carbons bonded with six hydrogens. Lets try to draw the molecule :
So, in this molecule, there will be 7 sigms bonds and no pi-bond.
