Plants respire aerobically. Oxygen produced during photosynthesis is utilised for the respiration.
Glucose synthesizes during photosynthesis is broken down into carbon dioxide, water and energy is released through the series of chemical reactions called glycolysis, TCA cycle and Electron transport system.
