How are we able to jump without any external force on us?

Expert Answer:
We jump under effect of reaction force exerted by the earth on us. While attempting to jump, we exrt force on teh ground. That is action. In response the earth applies reaction force on the us in the upwrd direction.
Henc we can jump upwards.
