Figure shows the relationship between the velocity of probe as seen by moving observer and as seen by observer at rest.
 
hence velocity of probe seen by observer at rest on earth = begin mathsize 12px style fraction numerator 0.7 c space plus space 0.6 c over denominator 1 plus space begin display style fraction numerator 0.7 c cross times 0.6 c over denominator c squared end fraction end style end fraction space almost equal to space 0.9 c end style
hence only (D) is correct, other options are not correct
