Let x litres of 90% solution and y litres of 97% solution is used to give 95% of 21 litre solution.
ATQ
x+y = 21 and
90% of x + 97% of y = 95%of 21
.9x+.97y = 19.95
Solving these two equations we get
x = 6 litre and y = 15 litre
This is a question based on linear equation in two variables and can be asked in exam
