Tangent of the angle of elevation = Height of opposite house above that of window/Distance from the observer's window.
tan A = h/d
Similarly,
Tangent of the angle of depression = Height of opposite house below that of window/Distance from the observer's window.
tan B = H/d
The height of opposite house = H+h = d tanA + d tanB.
But d = H/tanB
The height of opposite house = H/tanB (tanA + tanB) = H(tanAcotB + 1).
