Frequency modulation is a type of modulation in which the frequency of the carrier wave is changed in accordance with the amplitude of the modulating wave.

For this, the modulating wave is superimposed on a high-frequency carrier wave so that its amplitude will be the same as that of the carrier wave, but its frequency gets modified.
