Expert Answer
For the system of equations
2x+3y=7
(a-b)x+(a+b)y=3a+b-2
to have infinite solutions
2/(a-b)=3/(a+b)=7/(3a+b-2)
First and II ratio gives a=5b
II and III ratio gives a-2b-3 =0
solving gives a=5,b=1
First and III ratio gives a-9b+4=0
a=5,b=1 satisfies the above equation so the system of equations has infinite solutions for a=5 and b=1
