Expert Answer
If (x+1) is a factor of f(x) , then f(-1) = 0
Hence , we get ,

.................... (1)If (x-1) is a factor of f(x) , then f(1) = 0
Hence , we get ,

..........................(2)hence we get , a = 3 and b = -3
