find the sum of following 6+13+20+....+97

Let Sn = 6+13+20+..................+97

Above series is Arithmetic progression with first term a = 6 and common difference d = 7

Last term 97 is

6 + (n-1)7 = 97

From above expression, n = 14 .

Hence number of terms n in the arithmetic progression is 14.

Sum of Arithmetic progression is

Sn = (14/2) [ 2 × 6 + 13 × 7 ] = 721
