Earth have how many capistance and resistance

Capacitance of earth can be calculated using the standard equation of capacitance of sphere which is given by 4πε0R ,
where R is radius of sphere. Mean radius of earth is 6400 km.
Hence capacitance of earth = 4π×8.85×10-12 ×6400×1000 = 712×10-6 Farad = 712 μF
There is no standard relation for calculating earth resistance, because the resistivity of earhths material vary from place to place.
The resistance offered by the earth electrode to the flow of current into the ground is known as the earth resistance or resistance to earth.
The resistance between the earthing plate and the ground is measured by the potential fall method.
Ideally earth should give zero resistance, because when earthing is done by connecting the electrical power system to earth,
all the unwanted/hazardous currents should flow to ground easily and eath should not resist the flow of current. But practically
earth if earth resistance is measured experimentally it will not be zero. Hence low resistance salts are used to reduce the earth resitance to get
5Ω or less than 5Ω, when earthing is done for electrical power systems.
