each of the two equal sides of an isosceles triangle is twice as large as the third side. if the perimeter of the triangle is 30 cm, find the length of each side of the triangle.

Let the third side = a cm

Then, each equal side = 2a cm

a+2a+2a=30

5a=30

a=6 cm

2a=12 cm

The sides are 12 cm, 12 cm and 6 cm respectively.
