Expert Answer
Let x and 12-x be the required numbers such that x(12-x) = 32
We have 12x -x^2 = 32
Or x^2 - 12 x +32 = 0
Solving by splitting the middle term we get x = 8 or 4
Required numbers are 8 and 4
