Determine the integer values that the length of the third side of a traingle can have if other two sides have lengths 3 cm and 7 cm

Expert Answer
By using the property of a triangle
We know that the sum of the two sides of a triangle must be greater than the third side.
Therefore, 7 + 3 = 10 > Third side
Also, difference of the two sides of a triangle must be less than the third side.
Thereofore, 7 - 3 = 4 < Third side.
So, 4 < Third side < 10
Possible integer values of the length of the third side = 5, 6, 7, 8, 9
