Expert Answer:
A German scientist, Otto Von Guericke placed two hollow metal hemispheres together. Then almost all the air from the combined hemispheres was removed using vacuum pump. The teams of horses were attached at both the ends of hemispheres. These hemispheres were then tried to pull apart from each other by the force of horses. But the air pressure on outside of combined hemispheres were much greater than the air pressure inside them. Thus the hemispheres were unable to seperate from each other. In this way, he demonstrated the experiment of air pressure.
