Expert Answer
Face value of each share = Rs.100
Cost price of each share at discount Rs.20 = Rs.80
Amount invested = Rs. 48000
Number of shares = Amount / ( cost price ) = 48000/ 80 = 600
Divident of each share = Rs. 9
Divident of 600 shares = 9 × 600 = Rs. 5400
Selling price of each share at premium Rs.20 = Rs.120
Selling price of 600 share = 600 × 120 = Rs. 72000
profit of selling price = Rs.(72000 - 60000 ) = Rs.12000
Profit including divident = Rs. (12000 + 5400 ) = Rs. 17400
