NEET Class neet Answered
at what temperature would the resistance of a copper wire be double its resistance at zero degree celsius if Alpha is equals to 1 by 273 degree Celsius inverse

Resistance R at tmperature T oC is given as
R = Ro (1 + α T )
where α is temperature coefficient , α = 1/273 and Ro resistance at 0o C
if resistance R is twice of Ro , then we have , ( 1 + α T ) = 2
[ 1 + (1/273) × T ] = 2
By solving above equation, we get T = 273 oC
