Dear Student,
Cation- Cation is a positively charged ion which is formed by loss of one or more valence shell electrons.
For example, H+ is formed by loss of one electron.
Anion- Anion is a negatively charged ion which is fomed by gain of one or more electrons in it's valence shell.
For example, Cl− is formed by gain one electron.
